Yes, 0-5 tried in home state but nothing available in that age range. My daughter just turned 6 so would like one younger that her.
Thanks for the info.

Hello Carol1,

Keep your head up it will happen for you.....It is hard for me to say that b/c everyone kept telling me that and I was ready to scream!! We were with an agency for going on 4 yrs with NO luck what-so-ever. We had been throwing around the idea to get on Parent Profiles for 2 years and I was tired of waiting so I decided to go for it. We got on www.Parentprofiles.com on Feb. 27th (we were activated) and on March 30th our son's mother contacted us. She had our beautiful son on April 19th. Parent Profile was the best thing we ever did! I highly recommend them and as with everything else in this world you have to do your research on all the pbmom's and keep a cool head about it. We were contacted by 5 pbmom's after our son. One of those 5 pbmom's giving her baby to our very good friends that we got her in contact with. So we consider to be 2 in 2 on PP even though the second one is going to our very good friends!

Good luck and keep your chin up dear! Your baby is right around the corner.......Have faith in the Lord that he knows what he is doing!

I couldn't wait so I went in and checked the web site. It looks encouraging people of all ages on there. The agency is out of Gilbert Arizona do you know if that is the only one?
What all did you have to do to get started? I am wondering if adopting from Parent Profile is different that regular adoptions.
Thanks so much again
Carol

Carol1,

Parent Profiles is basically an advertisement company for you....You set up all the information about yourself on their website and pay them a small fee and the girls directly contact you! The adoption procedure goes according to the law in the state that the bmom contacts you from. Parent Profiles is NOT an agency they are only a website to adverstise from and they are cheap and have MILLIONS of hits from people daily. In the 2 mos we were on it we had over 15,000 people look at our website..........and we had 6 bmom's contact us......the counter does not differentiate from regular people and bmom's looking at your website. So if you do go on with Parent Profiles I suggest that the only numbers you look at is when someone saves you to their favorites THEN that is when you could possibly have a birthmom!

Example: Our bmom contacted us from North Dakota. In ND the law is that you have to go through an agency to adopt from their state. So we had to find an agency that was feesable and get them to facilitate the adoption. If we were to get contacted by a bmom in SD the law is that you only need to have an attorney facilitate the adoption so the expense is way less. If you have any further questions you may contact me directly at SKnippling@midstatesd.net

Good luck!!
