Ask Lenore is an information resource for couples who are expanding their families via adoption, surrogacy, or traditional pregnancy as well as those who are experiencing infertility and/or recurrent miscarriage.

At Ask Lenore, we wholeheartedly support all mothers who decide to breastfeed their baby. We aim to provide you with information on proper breastfeeding techniques to help you nurture your intended, premature or adopted baby. For those facing infertility and recurrent miscarriage problems, Ask Lenore offers helpful advice on what prospective parents can do to address these problems.

Ask Lenore was created by Lenore Goldfarb, Ph.D., IBCLC, who is a Lactation Educator, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and co-author of the Newman-Goldfarb protocols for Induced Lactation: The Guide for Maximizing Milk Supply together with  Dr. Jack Newman, a renowned breastfeeding expert, who is a consultant on this site. Lenore’s own son Adam was born via gestational surrogacy in 1999 and was breastfed for 8 months. Read her story. Breastfeeding and adoptive breastfeeding are rewarding experiences.
