I am new to this and need a little help. My husband and I are in the process of trying to have a baby through traditional surrogacy. I have had two children (17, 22). I would like to breast feed but would like to know what kind of success others have had due to the fact that I have breast implants. We aren't pregnant yet, but hope to be soon and would like to be as prepared as possible.

I have also read the protocols and was wondering how expensive this protocol is for induced lactation.

Thanks
Shelley

I have heard that implants do not interfere with breastfeeding. As for the cost, someone else will have to answer it has been awhile since I bought the meds and herbs for the protocol. Plus it also depends on how long you are on it.
I am sure you will have your answer soon. The ladies here are wonderful.

Hi Shelley,

If you want to breastfeed you can. Many mothers with implants have gone on to successfully breastfeed their babies. You will have the best result if the incision is under the breast as opposed to around the colored tissue surrounding the nipple. This preserves your nerves and the let-down reflex.

As for the cost. It depends on where you order your medication and your pump. The birth control pill is usually around $20 per month and the domperidone from New Zealand is about $70 for a two month supply. You can get the pump from several sources for under $200. All in all, it's a lot less expensive than formula which can run anywhere from $1000 to $5000 for 1 year depending on the brand.

Fondly,
