Ok i'm not getting discouraged, but I am curious. I am on day two of pumping, and nothing not even a drop yet. When does someone usually seem some sign this is going to work. I did the ac protcol for 50 days and am using a limerick and pis pump for pumping. I pump every couple of hours for 30 mins. I pumped once during the night the first night and twice in the night last night. anyone have any ideas.

thanks janeen

It varies but you will usually see moisture almost like dew, then droplets, streams, and eventually sprays of milk. It can take a few days. You will most likely see something soon. Usually within the first week you start to see some milk. You are doing great with your pumping schedule. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Hi Janeen,

How often are you pumping in a 24 hour period? And how long are you pumping for? Did you view the CD that comes with the Limerick?

Lenore,
Thanks for checking in on me. I am pumping 6-8 times a day now for 20-30 mins at a time. I am pumping once a night, but I have to admit that one is killing me. I am on day 9 of pumping and I am getting 2 oz per breast per day. Is that about right? I definatly get the most from my first two morning pumps.

Yes! and at my 2 pumping this moring I already have one ounce per breast Maybe I'll get 5 ouzes between both by the end of today. I didn't pump in the nighth last ngiht though. I'm still on pain meds from my hand surgery and It's so hard to wake up with the alarm. I keep sleeping through it. I have one more week of staying home doing nothing but pumping before the cast and stiches come out and I return to the real world and I certainly wont be able to pump as often as I have been. I hope I have some sort of decent start by that time. I have no idea what to expect by that time. I would like to double what I am getting now. 8-10oz per day in that week but that's probably two much to ask for in one week of babymoon pumping. We will see. I'm sure not pumping at night is keeping my milk from increasing as much as it could, but I'm practally a drooling mess all night long after my meds. I see the doctor next monday for a cast change and to start physical therapy. I will ask him about cutting my meds then. Thanks for your support Lalle. YOURE WONDERFUL!!!

Hi Janeen,

You're right on track. Keep up the good work.

While you're recovering from your recent health problem, you can try pumping just before bed and immediately when you wake up. That may make things easier for you.

Once your baby arrives, you'll have your hands full so get the rest you need ok?
