Well, i was on the regular protocol for 15 weeks. I started pumping last Friday and taking the herbs.... I had to start out with a hand pump for a few days.. that was torture.... But I now have my double electric pump and it is a dream!
I'm getting about 4oz a day right now.... I think that's good for this stage, no? (5 days of pumping)
My left boob is not as productive as my right I notice..... I get more of the "stream" of milk from my right more often than my left.... is this normal??
My nipples are sore as heck! I put that Lansinoh on it to take the edge off, but when will it get better? i see stars when i pump the first few seconds....
My last question, and it may be a silly one... But what is "let-down".... is that when the milk comes out in streams rather than drops? my pump goes into let down mode after 2 minutes.... not sure what that means and what i should be looking for....
I constantly have to move the horn around to get the right position.... can be annoying... plus my milk sometimes drips down in the horn and makes it wet that it messes up the good suction I had when i first start to pump... i constantly have to stop, dry myself and the horn, then start again.....
anyway, hoping i will start producing more soon..... i'm very impatient, if you havent noticed alreadt from my all my posts! LOL

Tina,
Sounds like your doing a fantastic job! Thats a great amount of milk for only pumping a week. I don't get my first drops of milk til I am off the Bcps for a week. Okay the let down is when you see your milk start coming out faster. A lot of us never feel a let down. So you might just see it. Also make sure you do not have your suction past medium. And when you go and break suction. Do NOT just pull them off your breast. Your hurting your nipple. Stick your finger in and break suction. You also said that you have to stop several times and clean the horn to get a good suction. Lean forward slightly when you pump. That will stop the milk from rolling back into your horn and causing you this problem. Sounds like your doing so good... keep it up girl!
