Domperidone is an anti-dopamine agonist whose main function is to aid gastric motility but it's also used to treat reflux. The anti-dopamine agonist properties means it inhibits dopamine which has been suspected as a prolactin inhibitor and so that's how prolactin is caused to increase while taking the domperidone.
Domperidone facilitates motility but absorption still happens which is why some of us gain a few pounds while on the protocols.
For more information kindly discuss the above with your doctor.
