Hi, I am in my third week of pumping following the regular protocol. I pump 6-8 times a day. After two weeks of day pumping I started night pumping as well. I get nearly one oz from the right breast and a half oz from the left in a day. I wonder if its very little? And if so; should I increase the Dom. I take dosage as recommended in the protocol.

All the best from Hanne in Norway

Hi Hanne,

I also have similar amounts after a few weeks of pumping, so maybe I'm not the best person to advise. But a couple things I have heard are very important are to make sure you have the correct size flange. If it is too big or too small milk output will be reduced. Also try hand expressing after pumping (breastfeeding.com has a good demo video) to make sure you empty your breasts fully.
