Once you started the protocol how long does it take before you feel changes in your breasts?

I remember feeling changes by one month on the protocol, maybe sooner. My breasts gradually grew in size and initially felt sore. It was really exciting! They stayed the larger size throughout the Yasmin/Dom part and then grew even more when I started pumping/herbs. They are back to being sore now too, especially if I need to pump. The long months on Yasmin can be just that...long. But I guarantee you it is SO worth it when you start pumping and see your output go from drops to ounces! Best of luck to you.

I didn't see or feel much changes until I started pumping either (but I also didn't have much change in size when I was pregnant either). They got much bigger once I was bf.

I was on the accelerated protocol when we thought we were going to be adopting a little girl. I noticed a 1/2 to a full cup size with in 1 month. I'm thinking it was more like 1/1 cup size. I never really got tender breasts though but then again I was only on the protocol for about 2 month's before I stopped when our adoption failed. I am now on the regular protocol-hopefully this adoption will work out (after only being off for about a month) but I have only been on it for a little over a week so I can't really judge changes at this point.

Good luck!!

Thanks for your replies. I read on the website that if you didn't experience significant changes within 15 days you should consider switching your birth control pill to Yasmin but I am already on Yasmin. I feel slight changes but my breasts are not tender. Good to know this isn't unusual. Happy holidays!

Claudia, I remember thinking that my breast changes were slow to happen during the beginning. The changes I felt within the 2 weeks mentioned were not as drastic as I had thought they should be. They were very gradual changes until one day I thought maybe they really DID look bigger, and my hubby was able to confirm that. Hang in there. It's really all worth it in the end! smile

I've been on the long protocol for 7 weeks now and gradually noticed changes...especially within the last month. I suspect I am at least one cup size larger already and a bit tender. I also had similar changes while pregnant with my son, so maybe that is a factor as well. I wouldn't worry about the 15 day(?) window for noticing changes...it may take longer as things seem to be gradual.

I know that while you are pumping or breastfeeding you had to be careful taking cold medicine and drinking excessive caffeine. Is this still true while on the protocol (still taking bcps)?

you should be fine on the protocol as long as you are not to the pumping point yet.
