Ugh! Where do I begin! Lets just say for my son formula, and cows milk, no go for my son! My son is a year and half, and has been ill. I decided a month ago I was going to relactate for him, and that this time I wasn't going to give up without a fight. It has been about ten months since I pumped at all. It has been an on and off again world war 3 with bf for him. For the past month I have been religiously pumping every hour, sometimes pumping for as long as an hour. I take Fenn, blessed thistle, and Alf 4*4 times a day. I started taking Domp 3 days ago 3*3 times a day. Got frusterated bumped it up to 4*4 times a day. I am only getting drops, I thought this was supposed to be easier for someone who has lactated before! Please any advise would be greatly appreciate? How much longer is going to take on the domp, to see any results? I am pumping so much during the day I think the motor is starting to fail on my pump, and I am absolutely broke to buy another one right now until next month!

I wouldn't give up yet. You just started the dom and you didn't do a protocol. Most women take some time to increase. Drops for the first few days is normal. I wouldn't increase to 160 mg yet. Go back to 120 for a while and see what happens. Only increase if you need it later.

I would bet it is easier to get a toddler to latch when there is already milk there to drink.

I guess im a little frusterated bc I was getting more a couple of weeks ago! When I started the dom, I started my menstraul, and my milk went down to pin drops. It was God aweful, felt like I was going in labor all over again the first day, which was thursday. Is this normal? I'm wondering if I should try to do the protocol insteade. The health department is going to let me use a hospital grade pump, which is nice of them. Using a cheap playtex petite elec pump right now, but its not the greatest. Thanks for the advice smile

Just edited this:

I think I know why, it just dawned on me! I started taking NORA-BE bcp, bc I have endo, which came back with a vengence last month. I started this on the 11th, but stopped when I started the domp on the 22nd. If I follow the excell protocol, is this bcp ok, since I already started taking it?

UPDATE:

I'm getting drips insteade of little drops in the morning! Yey, getting anxious, but I will be alright! I dropped the dom to 3*4xday bc the side effect were making me extremely tired. I've been eating a ton of oatmeal, luv oatmeal anyways! I think the only problem Im running into is I one of those that can drink regular plain water, so I'm trying to stay hydrated. I think I'm getting enough that I can start saving what I get through the day, so I can see how much it is, and the progress i'm making! smile

I don't drink water. I drink a lot of orange juice.

I don't know about those pills, but bcp's can definitely hurt your supply.
