What affect, in any, will taking an allergy medicine (namely zertec) daily while on the protocol (on bcp & dom, no pumping) have?[b][/b]

It shouldn't have any effect. Be aware that if you are going to start pumping it may have quite an effect on your production. I use a nasal steroid, Flonase, and have been able to control symptoms without taking anti-histamines even thorough my worst seasons.

I'm on the protocol too & took zyrtec several times with no problems - meaning everything still "seems" to be normal: sore, swollen breasts CHECK!

**Does anyone know if you can use antacids, like Tums or Prilosec with the dom??? I'm afraid to take anything with it.

I would worry about it decreasiing production.

Pammy - I took anything while taking the dom that was safe for bf, but I think I would check with Dr. Newman to be safe.

I emailed Dr. Newman and Zyrtec is fine to take on the protocol as well as antacids.
