Hi ladies! I've emailed Lenore with this question, but wanted to ask here too (I'm a little anxious to get started!)

We just found out we will be adopting a newborn in 2-4 weeks! YAY!!! I had a hard time getting a Dr to work with me and give me an RX for the provera, but it finally came through yesterday. The problem is I also ordered the dom yesterday (I live in the USA) and it may not be here for 7-14 days. I am doing the accelerated protocol and plan on using the Lact Aid as well, but my question is this...

Should I begin the provera now or wait until the dom gets here and take them both together???

Thanks so much for your advice!!!

Hi Mattie. Congratulations on your match smile
I don't know the answer to your question, as far as what would medically be best. But from personal experience, I started my BCP before starting my dom and all worked out well.

Good luck!

Hi Mattie,

Congratulations on your match. You should wait to take the bcp with the dom. They work together. You can start the bcp early but it will not help your progress.

Good Luck!!

I would agree with Claudia. The point of taking them together is to mimic a pregnancy. I think I would just wait. Did you ever hear from Lenore?

Question in regards to Provera? Is this being recommended now. I emailed Lenore this month and she recommended for the Regular protocol Ortho 1/35?

If Lenore recommended the Ortho, I would go with that. I took the Yasmin and had good luck with that.
