Hello,

I have a question about inducing relactation. I had my son in December of 2011, and breastfed him for the first week.

I gave up due to various issues, but I am interested in trying to breastfeed him again.

I am still able to hand express a few drops of milk. I am wondering if the induction protocol might work.

Anyone tried this before?

Thanks for your help!

I would e-mail Dr. Newman or Lenore to see what they suggest. I don't know if you will need to do the whole protocol, or just start pumping and maybe add in domperidone to increase your supply. Most of us are inducing for an adopted or a surrogacy baby, so you are at an advantage not having to start from scratch.

If you are still getting milk, I would start Domperidone and pumping. Also, just getting the baby back to breast as much as possible will make a huge difference.
