[color:"purple"]Hi Everyone. My name is Melissa and I am an IM via a surrogacy. Our baby is due at the end of OCtober. I had some problems getting the domperidone, but it finally has arrived today! Should I be taking 2, 10mg tablets 4 times a day or 1, 10mg tablets 4 times a day to get this all started. I also started the birth control pills. I did take 1 tablet of the domperidone this morning with the bcp. My OB does not think it will be very difficult to have my milk supply come in, I have given birth, and I did nurse my baby. I had a very adequate milk supply, but that was 9 years ago. I am so excited and nervous all at the same time. Anyone have any suggestions? Melissa [/color]

I did have another question. I know I won't start to pump yet, but has anyone used a Bailey's Nurture Dual pump? I wanted to see if they were good and so forth. I know they are used in hospitals. Let me know.. Thanks.

no not for inducing lactation. They are used on women who have given birth and their milk has come in. You need a good hospital grade pump. I have tried almost all pumps on the market. The PIS is the best. Pump In Style

I began my pumping using the Whittlestone, which I felt did a great job of stimulating me to *start* lactating. But once I actually had some milk, it seemed less good at actually getting the milk out. Since I already had a Nurture III from a previous baby, I thought I would try it before putting out big bucks for yet another pump. Well, it worked fabulous for me. I don't know if it would work well for initially inducing lactation, but here's the experience I have had: when I began using it on June 3rd, I was making 3 oz a day (after a month of dom) and now not quite two months later I am making over 16 oz a day. Of course, who knows, I might be making even more milk if I was using the PIS-- it seems to have more satisfied customers than any other brand. But I just had to share my experience with the Nurture III.

Mary, It sounds as thought he Nurture 3 has very good potential, but right now I don't have to much time to play around and wait to see. It took me some time to get the domperidone, so I got started witht he protocol rather late in the surrogacy. Our surrogate is due October 25. I just bought a medala for a SUPER great price. So I will have both pumps here just in case. Today is my third day af the prorocol. My breasts are getting tender, and feel I don't know really if it's a full or heavy feeling. But I will take a guess that these are good signs? I hope!!! LOL. Thanks for all the encouraging words and for answering all my questions. I am so sure I will need alot more help as these days pass by. Melissa
