I've heard alot about different pumps...Medela symphony, Medela Pump in style, Medela Lactina, Limerick, Limerick Jr.

What is the best pump to use for inducing lactation??

Truly, its very confusing. I'm willing to spend the $ on a hospital-grade pump like a symphony, because I would spend WAAAY more than that on formula...but don't know what is the BEST to use. Lenore...anyone...any thoughts???

Thanks!!!
Erin smile

I have heard Lenore say in the past if you can afford the Symphony get it, if not then the Limerick (there is only one)
See if your insurance will cover any of it some will.

I have a pump in style and a limerick. I do think I like the limerick better and that it extracts more milk. I never tried the symphony.

Lenore also suggests the Pump In Style... ITs what was used for years and still is by most

I think the PIS is advanced now, but not positive. Hopefully Lenore will be along soon to clarify the matter a bit more. Cause I'll definetly do one of the hospital-grades if it would be beneficial!

Thanks Ladies!!!

Erin any of them that you mentioned are fine. I added what Lenore had told one woman who was purchasing and had the money or insurance was covering for her. That was when she suggested the Symphony as the one to get if you can afford to choose whichever one you want.

The symphony works just like the Pump In Style Advanced. Just a lot more money. About 1200 and not as portable. I mean you can take it with you. But not discret. You can still get the pump in style original. Its a new design. The front flat folds down to give you a space to work with.
