Hello~ Im new here and have some questions. I am expecting twins with the help of my best friend and gestational carrier in August and have been on the regular protocol with Dom/Yasmin for about 3 1/2 months. I think things are going well. My breasts have increased by 2 sizes and have been leaking white milk for over a month. The only unpleasent thing has been spotting. About a week and a half ago I switched by bcp to Ortho 1/35 with the advise of Lenore. Here begins the problem........On Saturday I woke up with a sore left breast. By Sunday there was a lump and it was hot and red and VERY sore. Now let me say, I have given birth 4 times and breastfed all of them for 15 months each so I knew very well that what I had was a clogged milk duct. But Im new to the induced lactation thing so im confused. I ended up pumping 1/2 an ounce for some reliefe (I know im not supposed to!!) but it worked and im feeling much better. Lump is gone and so is the redness and pain. It also seems that im having a light period now instead of just spotting. So.......what is going on? why am i producing any milk while still on the bcp? I wasnt planning on starting the pumping phase until June. Has something happened? Should I begin pumping now? What should I do?? Thanks so much.

I don't know about the producing milk, I think I might e-mail Lenore about that. As for the period, I also had more than spotting recently. A friend that is a pharmacist, said that at some point your uterine lining just needs to be shed (since you aren't actually pregnant). And that is what it was doing. It stopped after a week or two and now I don't have any spotting at all again.
