Hi, everyone!
Long time, no see!
My sweet baby boy is now 16 months and weaned himself. I am so sad. But I am proud of him, that he would never take a bottle, and was a "boob man" for his first 12-14 months.
We've talked about ttc, via IUI with donor sperm, but it looks like that may not work out for us. So I am gathering information about foster/adopt. And after breastfeeding my ds for so long, I cringe at the thought of total bottle feeding! I am really hoping, if we do decide to do foster/adopt, that I would be able to breastfeed the baby placed with us.
Anyone have any experience with this?
TIA for any thoughts!

Breastfeeding a foster baby would have to be discussed with your caseworker. It's not allowed in Tennessee...even if the baby is considered a "foster to adopt" placement. As long as they're in state custody, no breastfeeding allowed! I had people suggest to me to do it and not mention it to the worker. It was a thought, but wasn't worth the risk because they could have removed him if they found out.

Good luck!
