OK this is the scoop!! I have been on the Menopause Protocol for probably a year. NO baby in sight still, and I have probably gained about 30lbs!!!!!!!!! I have had signs of milk (shirt getting wet when hands in warm H20, squeeze them and I have BIG drops ect...So I know I am doing really good, and that I am sure if I started pumping that I would get milk) and I desperately do not want to loose that, BUT I have been on the protocol for ever and I do not know what to do.

I want to get off the protocol, but I want to have milk if and when we ever get a baby.......I do not know what to do....... Do I get off the protocol and pump for an unlimited amount of time or do I stay on and risk gaining more weight! I am pretty sure that it is the BC pill that is making me gain the weight!! I am not huge over weight but I am way too over weight for the likes of me!! I am sure since I started this I have gained between 30-40 lbs!! This is WAY too much for me!!! Can some one help me with some advice.... I am feeling desperate about my weight, and I am also very weiry about being on the protocol forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do I pump and if so, how much, how often, and for how long do I keep it up? PLEASE I feel so confused can you help???

Thanks girls!!!

Hello Shelly,
Well you have a few options. You can stay on the protocol until you get a baby. Or you can go off and start to pump. Pumping might make you feel like your contributing while waiting. It did me. You may get tired of the pumping though. But I would suggest getting a hands free band and pump while you surf the net. You will be excited as you see your milk grow! And if you get to much frozen you can always donate. With a picture of the baby your donating to and knowing its growing on your milk. That will help you to want to pump more. It is true. .Pumping does burn more calories! If you choose to pump. I would start every 2 hours. At this point you do not need to pump in the middle of the night. Let us know what you decide to do.
